KEY PARTNERS

Relationships are key to understanding best practices and identifying diversity/industry trends. By building strong relationships with HR partners, business/corporate leaders, Business Resource Groups, professional organizations and D&I leaders, I have been able to drive and influence conversations around diversity and inclusion strategies. These relationships allow me to learn and seek council from pioneers within this space to effectively assess business needs, talent gaps and the competitive landscape.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Thevey through my partnership with the National Urban League’s diversity recruitment initiatives. She has been nothing short of incredible! Thevey is an exceptional Diversity Program Manager. Her ability to conceptualize and launch initiatives in a detailed, timely, and effective manner are reasons I give Thevey my strongest recommendation. Thevey’s knowledge of D.E.I., and expertise in project management, event planning, and digital marketing was a huge advantage to our program. Her enthusiastic, optimistic attitude is contagious and serves to motivate and energize our colleagues and corporate partners. Thevey is a natural leader and the kind of employee I would work with again with no hesitation!

“You don’t need to know Thevey for a long time to know that she’s a born leader and change-maker. In just a few months of starting at WWF, Thevey quickly found her voice and used it to amplify issues that she’s passionate about. She spoke confidently and passionately about the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and readily had the attention and respect of all levels in the organization – including senior leadership. Her fresh ideas and unique perspective had a profound impact on all of us. I look forward to seeing how Thevey will positively transform the culture at her next organization.

“Thevey is one of the most compassionate people I have met. She fights for what is right, and gives a voice to those who don’t have one (such as wildlife) and those whose voices aren’t typically heard (such as underrepresented groups). While at WWF, she launched a Diversity Speaker Series, and each event I went to was thought-provoking, and inspired great, though sometimes difficult, conversation— those are the best kind of events! She is so rooted in who she is and helps others find their roots. She is a gem of a human.”

“During Theveline’s time at World Wildlife Fund, she created a shift around the diversity and inclusion conversation. This shift speaks to Theveline’s ability to adapt her DEI work to the complicated world of environmental conservation. She pioneered a new perspective facilitating institutional culture changes necessary to create space for everyone. World Wildlife Fund undoubtedly benefited from her efforts.”

“Theveline is an excellent and hard-working individual. She demonstrated her work ethic by managing the National Urban League’s Digital Career Success Series and helped take the webinar to a new level. Part of her work included increasing the overall attendance of the DCSS, growing the UL Jobsnetwork digital presence, developing a cohesive marketing strategy, and executing NUL’s annual virtual career fair with over 2,000 attendees. She is passionate about her interest and work in regards to diversity and inclusion. Theveline has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to best digital marketing practices, and is one of the strongest problem-solvers I have ever met. Her ability to jump into a project and take the lead, is second to none and anyone would be lucky to have her expertise on her team!"

Kristin Braye
Human Resources Associate - National Urban League

"Thevey's talent for drawing in others of various backgrounds is magnetic and uplifting, even when times are tough. She is genuine, resilient, resourceful and respectable. She used these skills to help her coworkers find their voice - by being the first to speak about her own history and concerns, it helped to inspire them to speak up about the diversity in our company; in lack of racial diversity, gender, age and cultural backgrounds. She was able to inspire her peers to think about ways to include others – i.e. making sure to include those that telework, those of different religious backgrounds, those who are not U.S. citizens or who were naturalized, and those of different gender identity or sexual orientation as well as reminding others to be respectful of those that are different than us. She welcomed new ideas and shared those ideas she learned and resources she gathered from other sources openly with coworkers and with the organization including how bias can work in many different facets of our lives both in the workplace and out in the world."
